PLUS adds up to balance.
PLUS Level of Care
The PLUS program is a highly-structured sober living program designed to build a sustainable sober lifestyle. We are experts in this space & have years of experience teaching those in early recovery how to engage in the recovery community, change perspective and build better life.
-
Personal Sober Coach (Individual Recovery Management)
Certified Recovery Specialists (CRS Recovery Coach) paired with each resident for the duration of their stay. An experienced guide walking with each resident through early recovery challenges on an individual level.
-
Milestones, Routine, Support
We are big believers in a well thought out routine and how it can help those in early recovery. Coaches will assist residents in building this routine with a foundation in recovery principles, supporting the individual with achieving their personal goals.
-
Money Management
We partner with Ture link to provide a simple single debit card managed by SPSL and family to provide accountable financial responsibility — mitigating risk and simplifying trackable weekly spending.
-
Transportation
We transport residents to all scheduled treatment, medical, and mental health appointments, weekly grocery runs, and planned SPSL activities.
-
Sobriety Monitoring
Resident’s receive a minimum of two, weekly multi-panel drug and alcohol analysis.
-
Medication Oversight
All residents are issued personal medication safes. Residents administer their own medication. Staff will arrange refills and appointments, as well as regular medication counts.
-
Community Engagement
We big believers in what the sober community can offer our residents. We facilitate our own activities and strongly encourage everyone to take advantage of opportunities to engage in the recovery community.
-
Family Communication
Consistent communication with parent/family is part of the regular schedule. Our Assigned Recovery Coach will provide updates and help everyone involved to gain insight into ways to better assist each resident as they progress within SPSL.
-
Residential Activities & Requirements
Each PLUS residence requires mandatory attendance to morning programming, weekly house meetings and all planned SPSL activities. Additional requirements and rules include: curfew, meeting with a 12-step sponsor, and active participation in a house activities to build unity, foster healthy communication, and ensure progress.
“Our son transitioned from Hazelden into Saint Paul Sober Living and spent nine months as a resident. When investigating sober living options, our initial phone conversation was professional, compassionate and thorough. All of our questions were answered and we never felt rushed. SPSL understood the challenges we faced as parents of an adolescent struggling with addiction and treated us with kindness and patience. Our son was treated similarly as he adjusted to living in sobriety; not ever a smooth path. He was given the support he needed to establish routines around AA meetings, school, work and self care (grocery shopping, dental/medical appointments, therapy appointments, etc...). SPSL has established clear expectations and boundaries for their residents allowing people to feel safe in the house. Additionally, SPSL works to create an atmosphere of fellowship by creating opportunities to gather socially for meals, walks, sports/softball and special outings. Our son was able to graduate high school virtually, maintain a part time job and build his skills of living independently with the help and support of SPSL. We couldn't have had a better experience and remain deeply grateful.”
