I came to St. Paul from Saint Petersburg, Florida in October of 2015.
I had clearly reached a point in my life where I felt I’d gotten lost in the chaos. I tried to quit on my own, failing every time. Having lost everything including my home, my friends, my family, and my self-worth, I was desperate and needed help. That’s when a miracle fell into my lap and I was pushed into the sober community of St. Paul. I went to treatment, then a halfway house, and then into sober living.
Being in sober living saved my life. The women around me taught me to respect myself and to live a worthwhile life. My sober house manager and the other women challenged me to grow in my recovery and face my problems with confidence. They helped me integrate into the sober community and for that I will be forever grateful.
I am so happy to have joined the staff of St. Paul Sober Living. I had a profound experience while in sober living and now I’m sharing that with others. SPSL has changed many people’s lives and I’m so excited to be a part of it.
