I grew up in Bloomington, Minnesota and stared using drugs and alcohol and the age of 15. I attended my first inpatient treatment center in 2013. After treatment I did not follow recommendations and eventually relapsed. I went back to treatment on August 26th, 2014 and have remained sober since. I have had many consequences due to my addiction ranging from mental health to legal issues. I was miserable and willing to do whatever it would take to stay sober. My recommendation from treatment staff was to attend St Paul Sober Living. St Paul Sober Living provided me with a structured, stable environment that was comforting and supportive with great staff. I lived in the program for a year and a half. They gave me valuable skills to maintain a healthy life and become the person that I wanted to be.When I was offered an opportunity to work for St Paul Sober Living I was ecstatic. To be able to work for a company I believe in so thoroughly is life changing. I have been through this program, so I enjoy being a good resource and example for the men and women here. Recovery is my life, and to be a part of an organization that cares so much is indescribable.
